Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.

Professional Experience:

  • At least seven (07) years of post-qualification professional experience in environmental management.

  • Strong focus on environmental safeguards in development projects.

  • Minimum three (03) years of direct experience working with Government institutions or donor-funded projects such as World Bank, ADB, IsDB, or similar.

  • In-depth understanding of Environmental and Social Framework (ESF) and Operational Policies (OPs).

  • Proven experience in oversight and monitoring of environmental safeguard instruments such as ESIA, EMP, and ESMP.

  • Experience working in challenging environments, including areas similar to Balochistan, is desirable.

  • Knowledge of local languages is considered an added advantage.

Education:

  • Minimum Master’s degree (or at least 16 years of education) in Sociology, Anthropology, Rural Development, Social Policy, or a closely related social science discipline.

Professional Experience:

  • At least seven (07) years of post-qualification experience in social development and management.

  • Demonstrated experience in social safeguards for large-scale development projects.

  • Minimum three (03) years of hands-on experience with Government or donor-funded projects.

  • Strong knowledge of social safeguard policies and international standards.

  • Proven experience in monitoring and oversight of safeguard instruments such as Resettlement Plans (RPs), Social Impact Assessments, and Grievance Redress Mechanisms (GRMs).

  • Experience in community-driven development projects is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of local languages and experience working in Balochistan-like conditions will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement social safeguard frameworks in accordance with project guidelines.
