2. Shariah Scholar – Product & Policy Management (OG-I / AVP / VP)

Eligibility Criteria

• Maximum age limit: 45 years (as of closing date).
• Candidates with MPhil, LLM (Shariah), or equivalent qualifications will be preferred.
• Strong background in Islamic Banking and Finance.
• Knowledge of Shariah rulings, Islamic jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh), and Fiqh methodologies.
• Experience in Shariah advisory, research, teaching, or Islamic banking is required.
• Preference will be given to candidates with Takhassus fil Fiqh / Takhassus fil Ifta certification.

Experience Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in issuing Shariah rulings including Takhassus fil Ifta,
  OR
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in teaching, research, or Islamic banking and finance.
• Good understanding of Islamic banking products and financial systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Review product proposals, agreements, contracts, and manuals.
• Conduct Shariah research under State Bank guidelines.
• Respond to Shariah-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with Shariah standards.
• Submit reports to relevant authorities.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
